Silverton, NSW

I photograph weddings of up to four hours, from a studio in Fitzroy North.

Registry offices, backyards, vineyards and clifftops. Most couples I work with keep things small and relaxed, and four hours covers the ceremony, family photos, portraits and the start of the celebration.

The work below is grouped by setting, so you can see what I do in a place like yours.

01

Country

Vineyards, farms, paddocks and bush. Mostly within an hour and a half of Melbourne — the Yarra Valley, the Dandenongs, and further out when asked.

Registry office days

A ceremony at the registry office, then a walk through the city or a drive out of it. Four hours usually covers the lot.

How four hours could run

One example, for a 3pm ceremony. Every wedding runs differently, so we plan your own timing before the day.
1:45
Getting ready
45 minutes to an hour of preparations with the bride or groom, or both, as the final touches go on.
2:45
Travel
On to the ceremony, close by or further afield, arriving before you do.
3:00
Ceremony
Arrival, vows, signing and the walk out.
3:45
Family & friends
Group photos from a list we agree on beforehand.
4:15
Portraits
The two of you, nearby or a short drive away.
5:15
Reception
Arrivals, the room and a first toast. I finish up around 5:45.

Good questions

Is four hours really enough?
For most smaller weddings, yes. We plan the day so the four hours land on the moments that matter most, whether that’s the whole day in short form or just the ceremony and portraits.
How soon will we see our photos?
Your images are ready to download within 7 days. The download link stays up for three weeks, so save your own copies.
Do you travel?
Anywhere in metropolitan Melbourne is included. Regional and country weddings add a travel fee from $80, depending on distance. I’m happy to travel interstate or overseas, with travel and accommodation costs added.
We hate having our photo taken.
Most people do. I’ll guide you gently, keep things light, and you’ll forget I’m there.

Is your date free?

I take a limited number of weddings each year.
